๐ Guild Wars 2 Level 80 Gear
You should buy the expansions (HoT+PoF) because the game gets huge (horizontally and vertically). Totally worth It. You get level 80 boost and exotic gear on the character you use it on. You can unlock mounts with different mechanics for each one.

Game Discussion. Professions. Necromancer. Newbie lvl 80 necro. Hello, I just got my first character to lvl 80 today and it's a norn necro. Leveling up, I used whatever had the best armor but now I'm 80, I was wondering what stats I should be going for. I enjoy using staff, using mainly pet skills. What's a idea of a good survival/dps set up to
Rare gear that is level 62+ in requirements when salvaged, has a chance at netting 1-3 ectoplasm. Exotic (Orange): 65% better than Basic, 14% better than Rare gear. Exotic gear starts at level 62 and goes to 80. This is generally useful for everything. Ascended (Pink): 75% better than basic, 6% better than exotic.

there are quite a lot of skillanimations to learn pre level 80, which often get repurposed on more then a single enemy model. one example would be the knockdown from ettins. early game its just annoying and won't kill you, while other enemies will just oneshot you with the same animation later in the game. a good player will already try to learn how to dodge or kite these attacks.
Celestial exotic gear is a great starting point for necromancer, guardian, ranger, and revenant in the open world and acquiring specialized gear for when you try raids isn't going to be a grind. The boosted gear isn't even compatible with gem store upgrade extractors. Never ever slot expensive / account bound grind runes into boosted gear.
This guide is an overview of the best ways to acquire gear for level 80 PvE and WvW content. It's assumed that you already have a fully leveled character and know what PvE or WvW build you're aiming for. If you don't know what build to aim for, here are some useful resources: Open World; Fractal; Raid; WvW
Coral Loop. Coral Loop. Delusion Loop. Only if the Veilrender collection is active. Djinn's Royal Ceremonial Ring. Only if the Warpblade collection is active. Granite Citadel Defender Ring. Hollowed Fang. Only if the Fang of Mokรจlรฉ collection is active.
You want all exotic gear with the stats for your build or alternative stats (usually good options for most builds are celestial , trailblazer, dire) which grant some more defense to usually very dps oriented builds. What i did when i got to 80 is do all the story by order: Do map completion, then: Lw1 lw2 hot lw3 pof lw4 lw5 eod.
It's relatively expensive because it's popular. If you're in a guild, ask a guildie who has armor/jewel crafting up to at least 400, and provide them with the mats, or if one of your toons has these lvl'd up. Or you can bid on lvl 80 exotic armor on the TP. The boss train can drop exotic armor items as well.
Level in WoW from lvl 80 to lvl 85 while keeping your gear and you will see your crit rate drop vom 60% to 20-30% easily. And, quite obviously, WoW does not have any downscaling mechanic. The downscaling mechanic just eats away your level progression (excluding trait bonuses). What makes you weaker is simply not having level appropriate gear
Thus the term "champ bag" is both a misnomer and harder-to-define than original. However, again, use the same rule of thumb:just open everything on a lower-level toon: for level-adjusted loot, you'll get the gear with more valuable salvage materials. And for other bags, you'll get the same loot as you would anyhow, e.g. UnID gear bags.
Sounds like a good plan! Karma is definitely easy enough to come by, so I definitely suggest the temple route for armor. The skin is mediocre, but once you are geared and feel comfortable with it you can always farm badges for dungeon skins or buy skins on the TP, or even unlock them by lucky drops, and transmute it.
3.) Power is by far easier than gear up than Condi, which makes it highly valuable to use as your first gear set. 4.) Chronomancer has a passive trait to move 25% faster, which means you do not rely on 100% Swiftness uptime to stop feeling like a snail.
